The Safari Zone is a massive Pokémon reserve where endangered Pokémon are allowed to roam free and reproduce. One every month trainers are allowed to enter the reserve and capture as many Pokémon as they want that would normally not be found outside the reserve.

Originally used as the main dojo of a ninjutsu school, its leader and members continue to practice the art of ninjutsu. Dedicated to lives of mental, spiritual, and physical perfection, most members are seen meditating, training, or reading around the gym. The Fuchsia Gym has its own special battle stage which can change between a foggy field, a slippery field, and a balance rod field.

The oldest city in the Kanto Region is extremely old fashioned as evidenced by all of the outdated architecture in the city. Things are so old fashioned that the local Pokecenter does not contain state of the art healing technology, but uses ancient herbalistic, Hellenistic, and aromatheraputic methods which are sometimes, more effective than traditional methods.
