As previously stated you can choose to opt out of starting out as a beginner trainer and pick up your quest from wherever you choose. However those who choose to do this must explain their quest so far in their history as well as explain when and where the Pokémon they start out with have been caught. In addition, those who choose not to start from the beginning will not be allowed to apply for a Legendary Pokémon Request Form. In addition, those who do this will have a level cap placed on all of their Pokémon, meaning that the highest level that your Pokémon will be able to reach is Level 58.
